SCUBA-TASTER +

Scuba-Taster + course is run continuously during the summer and includes 1 confined water training dive and 1 open water dive + viewing of PADI O/W DVD and training by PADI Instructor. This course will count towards your PADI O/W certification. Scuba-taster + is either shore based or you can do a boat scuba-taster+ where you will be taken to a good dive site. As an option, our expert video-grapher can capture either stills or video of your first dive experience. No-one ever forgets their first dive experience, make sure you don't either by capturing your experience  on highest quality digital camera. On completion of scuba-taster+ you may opt to continue your PADI O/W course at any PADI dive centre worldwide. The price includes all dive gear, instruction by a PADI dive Instructor and being taken on your first dive.

PADI O/W Course subject to demand take 3/4 days to complete, the study part of the course includes all manuals and dive tables which must now be purchased, the confined and open water dives are done in the mornings or afternoons (min 2 people to start a course). We have luxury waterfront dorm accommodation available at The Dive Hut, stay with us and enjoy the unique experience of being part of a dive community. Poor Knights FUN DIVING....

We pick you up from your backpackers or accommodation provider (normally 8.00-8.30am).  Your dive experience begins with a spectacular scenic drive to the Dive Hut @ Tutukaka, you can chat with  other divers which improves the dive experience and diver safety. Our very fast dive boat then takes you out to the best dive sites at The Poor Knights. All fun dives are 2 dives and either include full gear (HG) or you may use your own. If you need accommodation you can stay at The Dive HUT.. avoids the travel at the end of the day and we do seafood BBQ's once a week.

SKY-DIVING

Bay of Islands Skydive is probably NZ's most exhilarating scenic sky-dive operation, you will be flown out over the amazing Bay of Islands at up to 12000 feet. Then your tandem skydive instructor will give you the thumbs up and your off. Free-falling through the air at over 100km's/hr, your heart will feel like it is in your head, the next thing you will know, the chute opens and you are now gliding peacefully through the air taking-in the amazing scenery, a total feeling of relaxation will start to envelope you as you realise your breathing and safe. When you finally glide down to the airstrip from whence you left, don't forget to give your instructor a hug or a kiss.. and order your video of the experience.

PADI Advanced O/W Course (includes 5 dives, takes 2 days typ) move on, dive deeper (over 18m), become a more experienced diver, you never know where it could lead to !! maybe you will one day become an instructor. We will make sure your course experience is one you will never forget.. book now....

Other PADI Courses  can start in accordance with demand and instructor availability, speciality courses such as wreck, night, deep etc normally take 2 days. Adventure dives can count towards speciality course rating and include the services of a PADI Instructor.

PADI Dive-Master If you wish to become a Dive-Master we offer a special course price (the normal RRP is $995), if you have purchased an unlimited TDC discount card you will get $300 (30%) off the RRP price. You will need to be with us for the whole of the dive season, definitely not to be missed, book now...call 021 670 081 and speak to scooby.

Dive Gear for those doing an O/W course, you may wish to purchase your fins, mask and snorkel which we offer at a discount if you do your course with us. For Dive-master trainee's, we offer a complete set of quality dive gear at 15% discount.

Refunds can only be given where we cancel a trip or dive due to weather or other factors which make diving un-safe. If we cancel, we will transfer your booking to another day, if you choose not to accept, we will refund your money minus 10% booking deposit.  Any booking deposit paid is not refundable. No refunds are given if you cancel one or more of your dives on the day of your tour. We reserve the right to charge the full tour or quoted price amount against your credit card if you do not show up. We cannot guarantee a return time from diving due to variations in customer numbers, course time completions and other factors beyond our control. If you loose or damage dive gear on hire from us, we reserve the right to charge you for repair or replacement at cost to us +10%. We accept TDC discount cards covering tours/activities, some discounts (30%) are given on specific products eg Dive Master Training. If you do not have a TDC card we will offer to sell you an unlimited discount card if you wish to claim a discount. The TDC card is valid for 12 months from date of issue. If you have a valid Flexme discount voucher or a GIFT voucher, you can use it on any trip that has existing fee paying customers already booked to go and spare spaces are available.
